I really wanted to like regular adult coloring books but they actually stressed me out. I didn't like having to decide what colors to use for each part of a picture. With this book, the decisions are all done for you and I love that. I can just choose the colors that are needed and color in order from smallest to largest number. I love this book so much. Will definitely purchase others in the future.Edit: you can still see the numbers after coloring, but It doesn't bother me personally because I wanted the book for the purpose of stress free coloring.

My mother loves to color, and she often told me that her absolute favorite was Venus Paradise color-by-number. Those have been long unavailable, so when I saw this I bought it instantly, along with a 50-color box of Crayola pencils and a sharpener. They were her mother's day gift, and she was thrilled. She started coloring right away, telling us stories of when she was a little girl and would color with her Nana. I'm already looking for more.The quality of the book is excellent - paper is smooth and has a good thickness, the lines are crisp, and the numbers are light enough that most colors obscure them.

I'm a beginner so not sure of my color sense. Penciling by numbers is helpful. Certainly you can ignore the color scheme provided, if you choose. The illustrations in this book are lovely, but not super intricate, which is also helpful when starting out. I suggest that if you're interested in, but hesitant to start this activity, this book is the way to go.

This is the worst. I loved the Creative Haven mandala book so much I bought two so I thought this one would be good too. I don't like that every single design only involves 2 or 3 colors. And the designs are such big open spaces that I feel like I'm basically just using up all my ink coloring a white page. There could be 4 flowers of the same color on one page and its not creative or challenging in any way. even my 4 year old is bored with it. I can't understand why they didnt create something with more detail. Look at the cover of the book. There are only 5 flowers and 4 of them are pink and 2 are blue. the rest of the entire page is green. That's it. Have fun getting a brand new green, pink and blue pen when you're done with this one page. I wish i could return it and get a different one but now i cant because i already started coloring in it. So not fair!

BOTTOM LINE: Unless you are under the age of 10 or are looking for the simplest Color-By-Number designs ever created, THIS IS NOT the book for you. This installment of the Creative Haven series includes a color palette of 20 colors TOTAL (1 of which is designated "white"), designs that use a MAX of 5 colors each, and patterns that are utterly simple and repetitive in each design alone and the book in its entirety.--- You can refer the the 4 photos provided showing:- Color Palette- 2 Completed Designs- 1 Blank DesignI had previously purchased 2 installments in the Creative Haven Color-By-Number series and was hooked immediately. I loved that each puzzle was lined in light gray -- allowing me to outline each specific image in a way that I wanted and in the color of my choice, utilized more than 8 colors (and in many, 10+) with a color palette of 24 total colors -- creating a beautiful and colorful complete design, and, finally, each design was unique both in the design itself and in the color palette applied. Because of this, I decided I would continue to purchase Creative Haven products assuming, INCORRECTLY, each installment would be designed in a similar fashion. I could not have been more wrong.The "Creative Haven Floral Design Color By Number" book is, by far, the simplest and, quite frankly, most boring color-by-number book I have ever seen. When I received it, I was utterly under-whelmed by the fact that the complete color palette is a GRANT TOTAL of 20 colors, one of which is "White" -- which is ridiculous in and of itself because a white spot is simply empty. I continued to flip through the pages and, though I didn't think it was possible, was even more unimpressed --- each design is outlined in heavy black, each design uses NO MORE than 5 colors TOTAL and is simply a floral pattern repeated 5-6 times, with 2-3 being large and 2-3 small duplicates of the same thing, each design is "finished" by simply coloring in the entirety of the background (which is a minimum of 50% of the total size of the design itself) and completing 1 page takes no longer than 20 minutes.Because I like to review all products that I purchase online (as I myself read reviews for almost everything I buy), I decided I would complete at least 2 of the designs to see if my feelings changed. As expected, they did not -- in fact, I can say honestly I was even more disappointed after wasting time doing so. I finally decided to just give the book to my 2 years old son so he would have something to scribble on.If you truly enjoy Color-By-Number books or have any experience with them, I do NOT RECOMMEND this installment of the Creative Haven series. The only people I can see enjoying these "Floral Designs" are those who are looking for a quick design to waste some time or female children under the age of 10.

Did not like that the numbers show through the colors.

I like this book very much. Sometimes it's nice to have suggestions on what colors to use on flowers. Then I can concentrate on the shadings and maybe other colors I want to substitute.

Love the pictures but I have tried several different brands of colored pencils and markers and the numbers show through all the time. Very disappointed.
